We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the family as we relocate to Lake Mary, FL. Named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing private company in America, we are a nutritional supplement wholesaler with a focus on helping a broad and diverse group of fitness enthusiasts to reach their fitness goals. We are looking for somebody who has a great deal of experience managing day to day warehouse operations, domestic and international shipping. The right candidate will have the ability to build a team around them and must be able to work in an extremely fast paced environment. We are growing and becoming more systematic, we are looking for an individual who will not only handle the day to day needs now but also look forward to the future and help us become a logistics powerhouse. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the day to day activities of the warehouse including both domestic and international shipping. Hire, train and manage a team of 3-5 people to assist in packing, pulling and shipping both small parcel items and large palletized shipments. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business Understanding of shipping protocol and software including but not limited to Full Truck Load, LTL, Rail, International Sea Containers, International Air, UPS, USPS, DHL and Fedex. Ability to utilize FIFO in both warehousing and pulling inventory. All products have an expiration date and must be shipped in accordance with FIFO to ensure there is no loss of goods. Develops business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third party vendors, including but not limited to shipping services. Demonstrate knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, and ability to learn Quickbooks software. Must have excellent computer skills. Ability to successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings Reviews the management of shipping and loading audits daily ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed and that material is handled and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss. Ability to work in a disciplined manner and capable of following established procedures, practices and comply with local, state and federal regulations. Evaluates metrics and adjusts activities to meet or exceed performance expectations. Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within inbound and outbound warehouse operations. Identifies problems, proposes solutions to other members of management and promotes cooperation with other departments. Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decision in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner. questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; and submits and responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement. Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures. Complies with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 10 years related experience and/or training Experience with international shipments and knowledge of applicable documents and/or customs requirements for international shipments Six Sigma training a plus but not mandatory Supply Chain training a plus but not mandatory ABILITIES AND SKILLS: Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decision in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
