Commercial Plumber's Helper - Will train the right people - Entry-Level Construction Positions Available

Ross Plumbing (Contractor No. CFC056481) seeks plumbers' helpers for large commercial construction projects. Ross Plumbing is a family-owned and family-operated residential and commercial plumbing company since 1983.

Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
--- Packing and sorting plumbing equipment for each job
--- Locating pipe leaks and preparing the work area
--- Fetching tools, truck stock, and equipment
--- Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes
--- Assisting Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs
--- Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes
--- Digging and compaction of dirt work and trenches
--- Other duties as directed by the plumber
--- Spending time learning from peers and from other more senior employees

Qualifications:
--- Hard-working, willing to learn and to be trained
--- Vocational training or professional construction experience or in maintenance is helpful
--- The preferred candidate also has advanced mechanical skills, physical dexterity, basic mathematical skills, and strong attention to detail
--- Basic knowledge of tools common to plumbing and construction
--- Active listening skills, able to understand plumber's instructions and act upon them intelligently and efficiently
--- Valid driver's license
--- Ability to pass a drug test
--- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
--- Ability to work on uneven surfaces
--- Ability to stand, bend or walk for long periods of time
--- Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather
