The City of Deltona is currently hiring for Firefighter/EMT (Paramedic preferred). This position requires FireTEAM testing and a valid NTN CPAT. All testing must be completed by January 4, 2019. As well as going through the NTN process a city application must be submitted. Applications are available at www.deltonafl.gov. Salary Information: FF/EMT $12.14/hr ($36,298.60 Annual), (After clearing as a Lead Paramedic with Agency and County Medical Director an additional $2.35/hr($7026.50 Annually) will be paid. The Union contract offers pay incentives, holiday time, compassion leave, education incentives and much more. City Overview: Deltona is located along the I-4 corridor between Daytona Beach and Orlando. The city is mostly residential in nature but is presently booming with commercial growth. Department Overview: Deltona Fire Rescue has (5) stations, (1) logistics station, 72 operations personnel, 11 administrative personnel (4) ALS engines, (1) ALS Quint, (1) ALS Transport unit, (1) Division Chiefs vehicle, (1) Heavy Rescue, Several specialty vehicles.
