Position Summary
This role reports to the Quality Manager and has oversight of the
Inspection team supporting the OMR & OES products designed,
produced, and installed by the Orlando Operations.
The quality control inspector will be required to comprehend
specifications to determine testing procedures and equipment to be
used. The candidate must be able to read dials or digital displays,
compare results with specifications and record test data, to
support and confer with engineers, technicians, and production
personnel. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform
dimensional checks and visual verifications of fabricated and
machined parts to acceptance criteria. Document and track
non-conformance reports/material. Ability to work with minimal
instruction and supervision. They will often lead, coordinate, and
communicate with others on inspection activities to support various
projects, sometimes with a global scope.

priorities and translate them into people priorities and actions,
while leading and developing a high performing HR team, acting as a
change agent driving for results by building organizational
capability and performance. They must partner with key stakeholders
across the organization to support Oceaneering's people-related
initiatives and goals with a specific focus on their geographical
areas of responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities
--- Ability to work with minimal instruction and supervision.
--- Must have the ability to read drawings, comprehend
specifications and tolerances.
--- Must be able to read dial indicators and digital gages, compare
results with specifications and record test data, confer with
engineers, technicians, and production personnel as necessary.
--- Must be able to demonstrate advanced ability to perform
dimensional checks and visual verifications to validate the quality
of materials, products, assemblies, sub-assemblies to acceptance
criteria.
--- Must be able to interpret and implement measurement techniques
as required by drawing standards.
--- Ability to review data supplied with material and parts to
acceptance criteria, such as: dimensional reports, traceability
reports and certificates of conformity.
--- Verify incoming materials meet procurement order requirements
before release to production.
--- Conduct inspection and test activities as required by Quality
Plans, FAT(s) (Factory Acceptances Testing), customer and or stated
requirements.
--- Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained.
--- Attend and participate in internal and external meetings as
required.
--- Ensure all existing working procedures, practices and systems
are followed.
--- Ensure in date calibrated measuring equipment is used for
performing inspection.
--- Document, investigate, and track conformance and
non-conformances, record results in designated data
repositories.
--- Ability to give technical guidance to junior inspectors as
needed.
--- May be required to complete inspections off site.
--- Must be available to work overtime and weekends as
necessary.
--- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
--- Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.
--- Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood
and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe
working environment.
--- Conduct work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety,
Environmental and Quality Systems.
--- Eliminate COPQ of whatever form, to suggest the use of more
environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to
the continuous improvement of the environment.

reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
--- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or
technical school preferred.
--- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience and or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience required.
--- Knowledge and experience in the use of advanced quality
inspection techniques required.
--- Quality assurance training (ANSI, ASQC, TQM).
--- Related experience in dimensional and mechanical inspection as
it relates to a quality system in an ISO 9000 environment or
equivalent combination of experience, training, and product
knowledge.
--- Strong computer skills and communication skills
--- Ability to read and interpret mechanical machine part and
assembly level drawings which include all levels of Geometrical
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
--- Demonstrated ability in documentation processes.
--- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant engineering,
manufacturing and industry specifications and instructions.
--- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and quality
documentation.
--- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
--- Work as a team member when performing or witnessing inspections
and/or testing for internal and external customers, third parties,
customer's inspectors, and engineering/manufacturing
representative.
--- Help develop and improve Quality System procedures, work
instructions, flow charts and associated process improvements.
--- Identify and maintain inspection and test status as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
--- Experience with PLM systems and ERP systems a plus.
--- Experience with ASME standards
--- Knowledge in welding and electronics inspection a plus
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
--- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals
of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
--- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
--- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
--- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
--- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PeopleSoft, Enovia,
Google Apps and SmartSolve.

--- Light is intense/glare.
This position is considered MEDIUM work.

--- Lift 20-50 pounds.
--- Work in confined spaces, kneel, jump, run, work while lying on
stomach/back, crawl, and use repetitive movements of the arms and
hands.
