Job Title: Firewall AdministratorJob Description: The Firewall Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's firewall infrastructure, with a focus on Juniper Firewalls. The role involves working on firewall configurations, role updates, policy management, and ensuring the overall security of the network. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in firewall administration and possess expertise in Juniper Firewalls.Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the organization's firewall infrastructure, primarily focused on Juniper Firewalls.
• Configure and manage firewall rules and policies to ensure secure and efficient network traffic flow.
• Perform role updates and modifications in line with the organization's security policies and access requirements.
• Monitor firewall logs and alerts, proactively identifying and responding to potential security incidents or policy violations.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to design and implement firewall solutions that meet the organization's security requirements.
• Conduct periodic firewall audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in firewall administration, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of firewall solutions with the overall network infrastructure.
• Provide support and troubleshoot firewall-related issues, working towards timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
• Document firewall configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.Qualifications:
• Proven experience in firewall administration, specifically with Juniper Firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of firewall technologies, concepts, and best practices.
• Experience in configuring and managing firewall rules, policies, and access control lists.
• Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Understanding of security principles and industry standards, such as the CIS Benchmarks and NIST guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot firewall-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIS-SEC) or Juniper Networks Certified Expert Security (JNCIE-SEC) would be an advantage.Powered by JazzHR
