Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position required to travel approximately 85% of the time.
This career Service position will provide & perform clerical and
data entry work to the School Health Services Program.They will be
responsible for providing customer service, information about our
program, assisting in outlying school-based immunization and health
screening clinics and record review as needed. Make referrals to
FVQ, Florida Heiken Vision or similar programs. Prepare, produce
correspondence & reports for the program under the supervision of
the Nursing Program Specialist.
Types all correspondence, reports, manuals, and other materials as
required by supervisor for School Health Program. Responsible for
policy and procedure manual updates. Compiles, copies, sorts, and
files records of office activities, business transactions, and
other activities. Maintains files and records of all meeting
agendas, meeting minutes, correspondences, reports, logs and other
materials for the School Health program. Enters data provided to or
by School Health into SHIP, Skyward or similar programs, Florida
Shots, and HMS.
Performs clerical work/data input pertinent to screenings,
follow-up referrals and for immunization clinics inputting into
Florida Shots and HMS. Assist with generating the health
screenings, school-based immunization and other schedules. Assist
with SH and Immunization educational presentations, outreach health
fairs and immunizations clinic, and/or school activities. Answers
phones and directs calls to proper departments or agencies and
takes messages). Keep LCS staff updated with SH activities & plans,
by sending emails and other communication notices. Performs other
related duties as assigned, which may include assisting in the
Health Department clinics, or other activities, where a Data clerk
is needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual Preferred, valid CPR and First Aid also preferred, Data
entry, computer programs/skills, Skyward System, SHIP, MS Office
Access, Excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint, knowledge of basic
medical terminology, skills in using medical instrument or testing
equipment, the use of a fax, scanner & copier. Ability to keep
accurate records, ability to anticipate SH staff & program needs,
and be self-motivated & other class specifications.
