Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures facility compliance to FDA,
State Health Department, and Monterey Mushroom Corporate Food
Safety requirements. The supervisor will also ensure compliance
with the third-party food safety audit requirements.
Customer-specific food safety and quality requirements also fall
under the oversight of this role. This position reports directly to
the facility operations manager, with dotted-line reporting to the
Corporate Food Safety Director.Job Title: Quality Assurance

Full-TimeFLSA Status: Salary ExemptCORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist
with ensuring compliance with all aspects of facility food safety
and preventive controls program, including GMPs, GAPs,
environmental monitoring, sanitation program, traceability, pest
control, food defense.Assist with conducting audits in all
aforementioned programs, including a Primus GFS pre-audit. Work
with facility management to conduct root cause analysis and
implement corrective actions for all deficiencies identified in the
audit reports.Oversee and coordinate activities of QA staff,
sanitation, and housekeeping. Ensure compliance with all FSMA
rules, under the guidance of Corporate Food Safety. Create and
oversee a facility-wide food safety training and compliance
program.Assist with leading the monthly, cross-functional Food
Safety team meetings to discuss compliance status, identified /
potential risks, and their resolution/mitigation. Issue agendas,
minutes, and action items; ensure 100% attendance and member
engagement/accountability. Secondary Duties and
Responsibilities:Fill in for the manager in his absence.Other
duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Required:Degree or in
place of a degree 3 years of relevant experience.1 to 3 years
management of food safety and quality programs in food production
or farming operation.Proven communication (written and verbal),
critical thinking, and leadership skills.2-3 years of Supervisory
experience and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate
teammatesPrevious HACCP certification program design and
implementation experience.FSMA PCQI Preventive Controls certified,
HACCP Certified. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Office 365 Programs Desired:Prospective graduate or graduate of
a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Ag Science, or
related field required.Ability to speak Spanish (at least at a
