Job Description:
The HR Generalist will provide a wide range of HR support as
well as lead HR practices and objectives that will provide an
employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes
empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment
and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. Additional
responsibilities entail benefits administration and maintaining
accurate employee information in the HRIS system(s)
Customer Service
---Serve as main point of contact and support for employees and
maintain continuous contact through email, phone, and face to face
communication as well as build trust and professional, meaningful
relationships for their retention and success.
---Assist in developing, improving and delivering
employee-organization value proposition by engaging associates
throughout organization.
On-boarding
---Coordinating background screens and pre-employment drug
testing.
---Conducts new hire orientation sessions and creates a positive
on-boarding experience.
---Post-hire surveys and data collection to identify areas of
improvement.
Employee Off-boarding
---Full-cycle off-boarding including but not limited to;
resignations, terminations, exit interviews, post- employment
survey---s and data collection to identify areas of
improvement.
HR Administration
---Assist with developing, implementing, supporting and reviewing
all HR Department initiatives, LMS, policies, procedures and
systems across the organization.
---Leave of absence administration (including ADA requests and
compliance).
---Perform system and file audits to ensure data accuracy and
compliance.
---Upkeep of employee records (attendance, EEO data, etc.), report
creation and HR analytics.
---Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies; attending educational
workshops.
Employee Engagement
---Coordinate the implementation and launch of employee programs,
initiatives and events.
---Partner with community organizations to boost corporate social
responsibility.
---Leverage internal communication vehicles to ensure employee
awareness, understanding and participation in programs and process
improvement related to increasing engagement and building a best
place to work.
---Conduct employee engagement surveys; analyze and distribute
results.
---Administer the Employee Recognition Program.
---Lead employee appreciation activities and events.
4-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources or
related field OR a combination of education and relevant
experience.
aPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist.
Outstanding customer service
Highly social and employee-focused with the ability to prioritize
and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to solve problems and make proactive recommendations.
Flexible with the ability to respond quickly to changing needs and
priorities.
Must be professional, positive and able to work with employees at
all levels of the organization.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including: Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
Confident presenting and speaking to groups of people.
Strength of character, ethics, commitment and reliability.
