Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll Specialist will assist the Payroll
Supervisor in the payroll disbursement functions of the
Center.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of
essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be
representative of the tasks performed within this classification

position.Accuracy with numbers and excellent computer operation
skills.Ensures compliance with the Center's Payroll Disbursement
functions.The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a

managers.Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and
regulationsFollow procedures established by the Center's Chief
Financial Officer to properly account for all Center Payroll
transactions.Set up new employees in the Payroll computer system
after OHR hiring processes are complete.Maintain all current
employee information in Payroll computer system including Status
changes (dept moves, part time to full time, term resign,
etc),Prepare Payroll Disbursements and Reports as necessary,
including those to tax reporting authorities and other regulatory
agencies.Insure the maintenance of all internal control procedures
as they relate to Payroll functions.COMPETENCIES: Knowledge,

knowledge of computerized payroll processing programs. Must have a
good working knowledge of all federal, state, and local statutes
and regulations pertaining to the payroll disbursement functions.
Ability to learn and perform a variety of tasks while meeting

meeting the responsibilities and performing the duties of the

ability to maintain appropriate internal control procedures while
maintaining appropriate relationships with both internal and
external parties.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Education: High school
diploma or equivalent.Experience: Experience in bookkeeping or
payroll and computer input.TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Completes all
requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first
six months of hire and annually. Other training and/or professional
development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.POSITION
