Positions will run weekly routes out of Lake Alfred, FL. These routes will be multi-stop loads leaving on Tuesday or Saturday. These loads will contain fresh produce and need special attention and care to ensure on-time delivery. This position comes with weekly home time but also has extra expectations. /n/n /n/t - This route will be out 5.5 days with no specific route /n/t - Drivers will drive at night when loads require it /n/t - Drivers will regularly run an 11-hour clock in order to make timely deliveries /n/t - Loads may depart in the afternoons, plan to be rested and ready for your shift /n/t - If your schedule has you back in Florida early, you will be called upon to help as needed with local pickups /n/t - Things happen in trucking, and especially in produce trucking - We will work with you during those situations to make them come out as well as possible for all involved /n/t - Schedules subject to change during holiday weeks to meet the needs of the customers - We ask that you please plan to take your PTO on non-holiday weeks if possible /n /n/n Requirements: /n/n /n/t - Valid Class A CDL showing current residence /n/t - Minimum 21 years of age /n/t - 1 year of experience /n/t - 6 months of reefer/produce experience, preferred /n/t - Pass DOT physical and drug screen /n/t - Approved driving record /n/t - Load Lock and BOL training /n/t - Must be in good enough shape to get in and out of the trailer, as the position requires dealing with load locks and, in the very rare situation, restacking a pallet of product /n /n/n About Kottke: /n/n Kottke is family-owned and operated by former truck drivers.
