Job Description:
* Assess resident complaints and determineaction, notifying
supervisor when necessary. * Admitand transfer residents to and
from other units or outside sources. * Administeroral and/or
injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance
withfacility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined
by Florida law. * Observefor side effects or adverse effects to
medication and report to assignedsupervisor, or further assessment
and treatment. * Preparepaperwork as required for consults within
facility and outside appointments. * Coordinateresidents’
appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are
appropriatelytimed as need for resident movement to and from the
unit. * Provideemergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope
of practice as defined byfacility and Florida law and notifying
supervisor for further assistance. * Completeincident reports
factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frameas
defined by the facility. * Completeprogress notes on resident care
within the appropriate time frame as defined bythe facility. *
Advocatefor residents’ recovery and safety. * Maintain appropriate
and professionalbehavior during interactions with residents’,
supervisors, and other staffmembers. * Display professionalism
throughoutemployment including, but not limited to, arriving to
work on time, maintainingan accurate timesheet, and maintaining
professional appearance as defined byfacility policy.
