Job Description Job Description Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse - ICU RN POSITION TYPE: Registered Nurse (RN) SPECIALTY UNIT: Intensive Care Unit - ICU LOCATION: Sanford, FL SHIFT: Day Shift JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent Job Description: We are currently in need of a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-performing team in a 16-bed unit. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. As an ICU RN, you will care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient conditions and prioritize care needs. Monitor and respond to critical changes in patients’ vital signs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and procedures. Advocate for patients, ensuring safety and dignity at every stage of care. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience in an acute care setting required Active Florida RN license or a compact state RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation) Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or Diploma); BSN preferred NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire Additional Details: Unit Size: 16 beds Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2, depending on acuity.
