Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Florida State or compact license required at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required. CPI preferred. Must-Have: - 2 references from authority figures within the last year - COVID-19 vaccine required - medical/religious exemptions only - Flu vaccine required - medical/religious exemptions only Description: This position requires on-call, holiday, hurricane, and float requirements. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:4. The facility requires weekend shifts, specifically 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle. Travelers may be required to float to multiple locations. Candidates must have experience with the EPIC documentation system. Candidates must have prior experience in an emergency department. Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and management of dysrhythmias. Additional skills include phlebotomy, triage, and monitoring patients post-procedural sedation. This role involves caring for diverse age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
