Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Melbourne, FL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,930 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid Florida State or compact license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required No call required, opportunity to float Availability to work holidays to fill scheduling needs Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period Pending license not accepted Description: Candidates must have 2 years of ICU experience. First-timers are accepted. Patient ratios are 1:2-3. Float requirement: Yes, candidates will have a home base but could float to other units or locations. The following certifications are required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Flu vaccine is required during specific months; medical or religious exemptions only. Candidates must provide 2 references from authority figures within the last year. Candidates should have experience with the following skills: - Accessing and managing ports - Arterial line management - Assisting with chest tube insertion/removal - Managing BiPAP and CPAP - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Continuous IV sedation - Management of dysrhythmias - Starting and maintaining IVs Additional skills that are beneficial include: - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Ventilator management Daily census is approximately 6 patients. Number of beds in the unit is 10. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. No radius rule; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers.
