unique blend of a laid-back lifestyle and hi-tech science and
innovation. With a diverse mix of working professionals, families
and retirees calling Melbourne home, the area has a wide variety of

a host of other attractions, including a vibrant arts district; an
historic downtown area with restaurants, bars and shops; nearby
concert and theater venues; the world-class Brevard Zoo; and
beautiful parks and beaches. Its location along the Indian River
Lagoon, an estuary that separates the Space Coast from the Atlantic
Ocean, provides an abundance of year-round water activities,
including surfing, kayaking, boating, fishing and manatee watching.
