Position Description: The Briar Team, Central Florida's top Site Development Construction company is looking for a Field Mechanic Dispatcher and Shop Assistant to work onsite at our company mechanic shop, with excellent pay and benefits, profit sharing, generous vacation pay and yearly loyalty bonuses. As the Field Mechanic Dispatcher and Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role within the mechanic division of our site-development company by managing the scheduling and dispatching of field mechanics to repair and maintain heavy machinery at various locations. This role involves coordinating service calls, assigning tasks to mechanics, and ensuring efficient deployment to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Key Responsibilities: 1. Receiving and Prioritizing Service Requests: Handling incoming service requests from clients, understanding the nature of the problem, and prioritizing repairs based on urgency and impact. 1. Assigning Mechanics: Matching service requests with the skills and availability of field mechanics, considering location and workload. 1. Dispatching Mechanics: Communicating job details, location, and required parts to mechanics, ensuring they have the necessary information to complete the repair efficiently. 1. Tracking and Monitoring: Monitoring the progress of repairs, tracking the location of mechanics, and providing updates to clients and management. 1. Managing Parts and Resources: Coordinating with parts departments to ensure mechanics have the necessary parts and tools to complete repairs. 1. Ensuring Safety Compliance: Ensuring that mechanics adhere to safety guidelines and regulations during repairs. 1. Communication and Coordination: Maintaining clear communication with clients, mechanics, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. 1. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22-$26/hour based on level of experience Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person Position Requirements: CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: 1. Understanding of heavy equipment systems, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other components. 2. Proficiency in using dispatching software, communication tools, and other relevant software applications. 3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills to work effectively with employees at all levels, from laborers to senior management. 4. Proficiency in HRIS systems (Vista by Trimble preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. 5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. 6. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
