Job Description:

PurposeReporting to the General Ledger Supervisor the senior level Accountant will be responsible for administering activities surrounding a specific accounting area and perform financial accounting as well as related reporting with some tax functions.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information monthly.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.Create, monitors and maintains the Fixed Assets module.Performing month-end account reconciliations including preparation of working papers for auditors' review.From time to time research sales and use tax issues and prepare tax returns.Assist other departments with accounting related questions and provide guidance. May work on special projects as required throughout the company, as assigned.Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, trial balance and other necessary reports.May provide leadership through work instruction, review of work, and training as directed to other finance and accounting employees.All other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.Minimum 7+ years accounting experience.QualificationGovernment contracting experience highly desirable.Advance MS Excel knowledge.Proven ability to multi-task, be organized, and have strong oral.Strong proficiency in data analysis.Experience with Oracle EBS desirable.Wide area workflow highly desirable.
